Strengthening Global Healthcare

Uzima University Kisumu Partners with Lebenshilfe Tirol

In a strategic move to bridge healthcare workforce gaps and promote international collaboration, Uzima University Kisumu has partnered with Lebenshilfe Tirol, a leading healthcare organization in Austria.

This partnership seeks to provide Uzima University’s healthcare graduates with opportunities to pursue employment in Austria’s healthcare sector, particularly in nursing and disability support. With Austria facing a shortage of qualified nurses, the collaboration aims to facilitate the deployment of well-trained Kenyan professionals who can offer culturally competent and compassionate care.

Uzima University will play a key role in preparing students through a combination of medical training and German language instruction, ensuring they meet the standards required to integrate into the Austrian health system.

This initiative is part of a broader effort to globalize healthcare training and create career pathways for African healthcare professionals. The collaboration also promises to foster research, student exchange programs, and knowledge sharing between the institutions in the future.
